Lin Coghlan
L’Irlandaise Lin Coghlan est l’auteure de scénarii pour le cinéma et la télévision (Les Misérables et Mansfield Park). Elle écrit également pour le théâtre et la radio. Un séjour parmi des délinquants incarcérés lui a permis d’échanger avec eux sur leur entourage familial. Elle a été frappée de constater un attachement profond à la famille et la fratrie chez ces jeunes, qui ont pourtant grandi privés de l’affection ou de la seule présence de leurs parents. Cette expérience très riche lui a inspiré le beau scénario de Some Dogs Bite.

Lin Coghlan
Lin Coghlan is an Irish script-writer for both the cinema and television (including soap-opera series EastEnders). She also writes for theatre productions and radio (including adaptations of Les Misérables and Mansfield Park for the BBC). Spending time with a group of convicted young offenders allowed her to talk with them about their family backgrounds. She was surprised to discover their deep attachment to their parents and siblings, despite the fact that they had grown up deprived of affection and the mere presence of their parents. This invaluable experience inspired her to write the beautiful story of Some Dogs Bite.

Sara Feilden, Anne Brogan, Melanie Stokes et Pia Ashberry
Sara Feilden a produit des films, primés pour la plupart, qui reflètent son intérêt particulier pour les problèmes de société. Pas étonnant qu’elle ait été séduite par Some Dogs Bite, sur lequel Anne Brogan et Melanie Stokes sont les productrices déléguées. Quant à Pia Ashberry, elle a signé la fiction interactive qui accompagne le film.

With a particular interest in the problems of today’s society, Sara Feilden has produced some award-winning films and has even landed a BAFTA as well as other accolades. Anne Brogan and Melanie Stokes co-produced Some Dogs Bite and also produced three award-winning films together, whilst Pia Ashberry wrote the interactive drama which accompanies the feature.

Ian Vernon
Après avoir étudié la production de films et la photographie, Ian Vernon a travaillé 16 ans dans la publicité et la mode un peu partout dans le monde, tout en faisant ses armes dans l’écriture de scénarios, la réalisation de films et le montage. En 2000, il fonde la maison de production, Biffa Productions. Rebels Without a Clue est son premier long métrage. Il a remporté trois prix au Festival d’Ibiza, et s’est qualifié pour le prix du meilleur film britannique au Festival de Raindance.

Ian Vernon
After studying film production and photography, Ian Vernon worked for 16 years in advertising and fashion around the world, whilst also starting a career in scriptwriting, directing and producing films. In 2000, he founded the productions company Biffa Productions. He is the creator of three short films that were shown in Los Angeles as well as the very successful documentary Actors. They all won awards at the Los Angeles, Palm Springs and Chicago film festivals. Rebels Without a Clue is his first feature length film. Although produced on a small budget of £100,000, this film has the qualities of a big-budget film, having won three prizes at the Ibiza Festival, and being nominated for Best British Film in Raindance Festival. We eagerly await his next feature length film…

Julie E. Monfils
Julie E. Monfils a co-produit Rebels Without a Clue. Après des études de droit à l’Université du Michigan, elle est devenue avocate à Detroit, puis s’est tournée vers les affaires. Elle a ensuite vendu ses parts dans la société qu’elle avait fondée pour se consacrer à la production de films et à l’écriture de scénarii.

Julie E. Monfils
Julie E. Monfils co-produced Rebels Without a Clue. After studying Law in Michigan University, she became a lawyer in Detroit, before deciding to take a change in direction. She sold her shares in the business she founded in order to dedicate herself to film production and scriptwriting. She has numerous scripts in the process of being written, and is currently working on an adaptation of a novel which deals with political conspiracy, entitled The Homicide Club. An extremely promising start in the world of cinema.

Dominique Pinon
Acteur de théâtre, Dominique Pinon a joué dans quelques 70 fictions pour le cinéma et la télévision, et est aussi un musicien accompli. Il acquiert la renommée qu’on lui connaît en jouant dans les films de Jeunet et Carot (de Delicatessen à Un long dimanche de fiançailles, en passant par Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain). Il s’illustre de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique dans les deux Alien, et outre-manche dans Crimes à Oxford. Son extraordinaire capacité d’adaptation à tous les rôles et toutes les situations explique pourquoi il a été choisi pour son rôle inattendu et désopilant dans Morris : a Life with Bells On.

Dominique Pinon
Theatre actor Dominique Pinon has had roles in some 70 cinematic and television dramas, and is also an accomplished musician. He gained the excellent reputation for which he is known performing in Jeunet and Carot’s films (from Delicatessen to A Very Long Engagement, not forgetting The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain). On the other side of the Atlantic, he has demonstrated his talent in the two Alien films, and across the Channel in The Oxford Murders. His extraordinary capacity to adapt to all roles and situations explains why he was chosen for his unexpected and hilarious role in Morris: a Life with Bells On.

Wiktoria Szymanska
Wiktoria Szymanska est une jeune Polonaise, passionnée d’art, qui vit à Londres. Son passage à la FEMIS l’oriente vers le documentaire. Elle a récemment collaboré avec BBC4, entre autres. Themerson & Themerson est un documentaire original, empreint de poésie et d’une grande sensibilité artistique.

Wiktoria Szymanska
Wiktoria Szymanska is a young Pole with a passion for art, who lives in London. She studied Literature and Anthropology at St. Andrews University in Scotland. A free soul, she spent time travelling around various places before choosing to study the art of theatre and cinema at The Sorbonne University (Paris) in 2004. A year later, she became an assistant director of short films and documentaries and then in 2006, she worked for Arte and ViaSat in the promotions department. Her time at La FEMIS (French film school) inspired a move towards documentaries. She has recently collaborated with BBC4, amongst others. Themerson & Themerson is an original documentary, laced with poetry and a great artistic sensitivity.
