Un soir, dans les rues sombres de Londres, un tueur surnommé « le Vengeur » frappe pour la septième fois, assassinant une jeune femme blonde. La police ne dispose d’aucun élément sur l’auteur du crime, si ce n’est qu’il dissimule le bas de son visage. Un jour, un mystérieux inconnu se présente chez les Bunting pour y louer une chambre. La fille, ravissante blonde, s’éprend du locataire. Joe, le fiancé, qui se trouve être le détective chargé de l’enquête, fait promettre à sa bien-aimée de ne plus revoir cet homme étrange, qu’il soupçonne d’être le coupable recherché. Quelle vérité éclatera alors ?

One night, in the dark streets of London, a serial killer, known as “The Avenger”, strikes for the seventh time, killing yet another young blonde woman. The police have no leads on the author of the crime except that he hides the lower half of his face. One day, a mysterious stranger arrives at the house of the Bunting family seeking to rent a room and the Buntings’ beautiful, blonde daughter becomes enamoured with the new lodger. Her fiancé, Joe, however, is the detective in charge of the “Avenger” case and, suspecting the strange man to be the culprit, makes his beloved promise to never see the strange man again. What truth will come out?
