Split between a devoted aunt and an absent and unpredictable mother, the young Lennon, a solitary dreamer, escapes his morose everyday life through music. In the dreary post-war setting of Liverpool, he gets to know Paul McCartney, in whom he finds his alter-ego. This friendship opens up new horizons for him but he discovers a sinister secret about his past. Despite everything, he became one of the biggest celebrities in the world of English pop music. The festival has succeeded in the feat of reuniting the two mythical stars of “Swinging London” in its programming; Lennon and Jagger. Isn’t fate a funny thing?
