Les réalisateurs suivent le parcours sur quelques mois de six adolescents de Leeds, issus d’un quartier populaire multi-ethnique. Ils ont choisi de s’exprimer à travers l’art du slam. Sélectionnés pour représenter le Royaume-Uni au concours international Brave New Voices à Washington D.C, ils vont tenter l’aventure dans le but de réaliser un rêve : partager leur passion des mots avec des jeunes poètes du monde entier. Ce film époustouflant nous faire vibrer au rythme du slam, rendant palpable la musique de la langue et l’intensité des émotions. Un vrai régal pour les amoureux de la langue anglaise.

Over several months the directors follow the lives of six adolescents from a multicultural working-class neighbourhood in Leeds. The teenagers express themselves through the art of slam poetry. Chosen to represent the United Kingdom at the international competition Brave New Voices in Washington D.C, they venture forth in the hope of making their dreams a reality by sharing their passion for the written word with other youngsters from all over the world. This breath-taking film transmits the unique rhythm of slam, enabling the viewers to feel the music of the language and the intensity of the emotions. A real treat for lovers of the English language.
