A 23 ans, Joanna décide de prendre le voile. La vocation qui l’anime depuis son plus jeune âge éclate au grand jour, provoquant l’incompréhension de sa mère, le ressentiment de son amie d’enfance et la mort de son petit ami. Au sein de l’étroite communauté de Bénédictines, Joanna n’est pas la bienvenue. Pourtant, elle résiste, mais peu de temps avant qu’elle ne prononce ses vœux, un événement inattendu survient dans sa vie.

At the age of 23, Joanna decides to become a nun. Her childhood dream becomes a calling, provoking incomprehension from her mother, resentment from her childhood friend, and the death of her boyfriend. Joanna is not welcomed within the rigid Benedictine community, but yet she perseveres. However, not long before she is due to take her vows, an unexpected event arises in her life.
