Dayan & Son, la boulangerie du vieux Juif Nat bat de l’aile. Son employé le quitte pour son prospère concurrent. Nat se résout à embaucher Ayyash, jeune musulman originaire du Darfour, qui vit seul avec sa mère dans des conditions précaires. Ayyash deale du cannabis et, par mégarde, renverse de la drogue dans la pâte à pain. Du jour au lendemain, à la surprise de Nat, la boulangerie ne désemplit pas. Patron et employé vont apprendre à se connaître et à surmonter leurs préjugés et leurs différences.
Dayan & San, a bakery owned by an old Jewish man, Nat, has fallen on hard times. His only employee has left him for the well-off competitor, who is threatening to buy Nat out. Nat decides to employ Ayyash, a young Muslim from Darfur, who lives alone with his mother in near poverty. Ayyash sells cannabis and, without knowing it, puts some of the drug in the dough. The next day, much to Nat’s surprise, the bakery is packed with customers. Dough is the story of two very different men getting to know each other and learning to overcome their prejudices and differences.
