Il se montre violent et impitoyable à l’égard de l’intrus, dont la passion pour son alter ego féminin, Catherine, est plus forte que tout. Andrea Arnold nous livre une vision personnelle, belle et poignante, du fascinant classique d’Emily Brontë.

The arrival of the mysterious boy at Wuthering Heights, high in the windswept Yorkshire Moors, sows seeds of trouble at the heart of the family. The intensity of the relationship that develops between the newcomer and Catherine Earnshaw, who is of the same age, sparks the hatred of the teenager’s older brother, Hindley. When the father dies, Hindley becomes master of the property and the precarious balance of the already strained family relationships is overturned. He becomes violent and merciless towards the outsider, whose passion for his feminine alter-ego, Catherine, is stronger than anything. Andrea Arnold delivers a personal, beautiful and poignant vision of this fascinating classic by Emily Brontë.
