Just as Kate and Geoff are about to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary, Geoff receives unexpected news: the body of his former fiancée has been found intact in a glacier in the Swiss Alps. Little by little the memories that are awakened threaten the harmony of the couple’s existence. Tom Courtenay and Charlotte Rampling both won awards at the Berlin Film Festival for their performances in this intense drama, which has quickly come to be the must-see British film of the year.
