Dans un petit village de la côte ouest irlandaise, Boyle est un policier du cru habitué à une routine tranquille entre le pub local, sa vieille mère malade, les bêtises des petits délinquants du coin et les prostituées pour qui il a un léger penchant. Il mène une existence paisible jusqu’au jour où le village devient le théâtre d’une importante opération anti-drogue menée par le FBI. Boyle n’a d’autre choix que de faire équipe avec l’agent Everett, policier maniaque et rigide dépêché des Etats-Unis. Les deux collaborateurs n’ont pas tout à fait la même manière de voir.
Le choc culturel est aussi un choc des personnalités qui donne lieu à des situations irrésistibles de drôlerie. Rire, gags et bons mots garantis.

In a small village on the West Irish coast, Boyle is a local policeman who is used to a quiet routine back and forth between the local pub, his elderly and ailing mother, the mischief of the local petty delinquents and the prostitutes for whom he has a bit of a soft spot. He leads a peaceful life until the day when the village becomes the scene of a large anti-drug operation led by the FBI. Boyle has no choice but to form a team with Agent Everett, an obsessive and inflexible dispatch from the USA. The two collaborators don’t exactly share the same way of seeing things…. nor the same way of saying things.
The clash of cultures is also a clash of personalities, which leads to some irresistibly hilarious situations. Laughter, gags and quips galore.
