Lors d’un règlement de comptes entre gangsters, le truand Chas Devlin (James Fox) tue un homme. Il s’enfuit pour échapper à ses poursuivants et à la police. Il se réfugie chez Turner (Mick Jagger), ancienne pop star, à présent plongé dans la spirale infernale de l’alcool et de la drogue. Turner vit dans un sous-sol avec deux filles envoûtantes à Notting Hill. Pour Devlin, c’est la découverte de l’univers du rock.
Un film culte des années psychédéliques. Nicolas Roeg y fait ses premières armes derrière la caméra. Trois ans plus tard, il signe un chef-d’œuvre avec Julie Christie et Donald Sutherland dans les rôles principaux, Don’t Look Now (Festival Univerciné cinéma britannique 2006).

Whilst settling scores between gangsters, crook Chas Devlin (James Fox) kills a man. He flees to escape those chasing him and the police. He finds refuge with Turner (Mick Jagger), former pop star, who is currently drowning in a vicious circle of alcohol and drugs. Turner lives in a basement with two enchanting girls in Notting Hill. For Devlin, this is the discovery of the world of rock n roll.
This is a cult film from the psychedelic era and is where Nicolas Roeg started out behind the camera. Three years later, he created a masterpiece with Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland playing the main roles in Don’t Look Now (British Film Festival 2006).
