In an Australian country town known for its opal mines, an imaginative young girl named Kellyanne becomes ill when her two closest friends, Pobby and Dingan, disappear. Although Pobby and Dingan are imaginary friends, her big brother, Ashmol, wants to help his sister and so sets about finding a solution. Thus begins a journey in which all, both young and old, learn important lessons, not least the importance of one’s imagination. This enchanting film was adapted from the famous children’s novella Pobby and Dingan, written in 2001 by the British author Ben Rice.
