Blood & Carpet

Comédie noire, UK, 2015, 1h16 – Réal. : Graham Fletcher-Cook

One night in London a couple stands by their fireplace, leaning over… a bloodied corpse. What do you do with a body that’s staining the carpet? The husband, saw in hand, locks himself in the bathroom, while his wife tries to carry on as though nothing has happened. Thanks to the London slang she uses with her brother-in-law, Melvin, and a boozy night out at a local pub, our platinum-blonde protagonist leads us on a journey into the swinging London of the 1960’s. But in this black-and-white film, which wavers between black comedy and psychological thriller, things are not as simple as they seem and one crime might hide another…
